Judy Wentzel is a self-taught artist who lives in Durban, South Africa. Working with acrylic and  unconventional techniques, such as always painting upside down, and with her fingers, Judy has developed a characteristic style that is colourful, optimistic and transformative. Her paintings encourage the viewer to feel the childlike wonder of seeing the world with naivety, honesty and openness.

Judy is an avid writer, champion of children’s welfare and an animal activist; often reflected in the subject matter of her paintings.
