You don’t need to be a fundi.

Let’s face it, if you’ve ever been to an Art-Fair, you will be hard-pressed to identify a specific “art-fair type.”  All  sorts of people spend their down time at Art Fairs-from first time home-owners on a tight budget to decor fundi’s,  to Art Patrons or experienced collectors looking for that special piece of Art that inspires them. Most Art Fairs attract both young and old from all walks of life where people get the chance to put aside everyday tasks and lose themselves in another world.

But why go if you can’t afford to buy?

Here is the surprising part. Art Fairs have become more accessible and inclusive with original pieces of Art starting at just £40. Contemporary Art Fairs are no longer gatherings for the Posh but an outing to be enjoyed by anyone browsing for that special piece for their home or office or client. Art lovers and artists meet face to face at Contemporary Art Fairs, to mingle, to admire and/or to buy. Buying an original piece of art is an opportunity to create a beautiful home environment that is uniquely your own. The “right piece” doesn’t need to be commercially valuable or on trend. If it makes you stop to look again and brings you joy; it is the right piece.

Making Art more accessible

We at Monkeyapple love exhibiting our Artists’ unique Artworks at Contemporary Art Fairs  as it enables us to showcase their talent and make art from Africa more accessible. There are normally up to 200 other artists or galleries exhibiting a variety of art in mediums from glass to canvas to clay. In London alone there are literally hundreds of Art fairs each year. See list of Art fairs for the year here.

Contemporary Art fairs Surrey

One of our favourite Contemporary Art fairs coming up is Contemporary Art fairs Surrey 2019 from 15TH – 17TH MARCH 2019 at the SANDOWN PARK RACECOURSE.
