Once printed, these tea cloths are hemmed and pressed by Miriam Mlalandle- Fumbeza in her home in Masiphumelele, Cape Town. She lives in a grenadilla-vine covered cottage with her children and 4 grandchildren. Miriam saves her income from this project to take her family to their rural family home in the Xhosa heartland of the Eastern Cape of SouthAfrica.
Tania Babb was born in Zimbabwe, grew up in Mozambique and now lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa. She has achieved a long list of exhibitions and awards since becoming a full-time artist.
